Trail, street closures for Hickory Crawdads fireworks

The Hickory Crawdads will put on fireworks displays after their baseball games on April 3, April 17, May 8, May 22, May 24, June 5, June 19, June 26, July 4, July 17, July 24, Aug. 7, Aug. 21, Aug. 22, and Sept. 4.

To establish a safe launch/fallout zone for the fireworks, a section of the Aviation Walk and 24th Street NW will be closed to the public starting at 6 p.m. on these dates. For the July 4 game, these areas will close at 4 p.m. 

During these times, access to the fireworks zone will be restricted to professional pyrotechnics staff and Hickory Fire Department personnel. 

The location of the fireworks zone has been selected to minimize impacts on surrounding businesses.
