Hickory Public Library to host Kwanzaa for Community event

Celebrate Kwanzaa with Hickory Public Library at a special Kwanzaa for Community event on Monday, Dec. 29, from 6-7 p.m. at Ridgeview Branch Library.

This family-friendly event is a great opportunity to learn more about Kwanzaa while celebrating African American culture.  

Special guest Donna Washington, award-winning storyteller and author, will perform stories and folk tales celebrating themes of unity, self-determination, work, purpose, creativity, faith, and family.  

Kwanzaa for Community is sponsored by Friends of Ridgeview Branch Library.

Ridgeview Branch Library is located at 706 1st St. SW in Hickory.
