Hickory Police investigate shooting

Hickory Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday, Nov. 30, at Garden View Apartments that left one injured.

Hickory Police responded to reports of a shooting around 4:15 p.m. in the area of the 700 block of 7th Avenue SW. One male, Keyontae Feon-Nyshon Jenkins, 22, of Hickory, suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound in his upper right arm. He left the scene to seek medical care at Frye Regional Hospital before officers arrived.

No other injuries were reported.

Hickory Police has obtained warrants for the suspect’s arrest. Antonio Demon Wade, 55, of Hickory, is wanted for assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and possession of firearm by felon. As of Friday, Dec. 1, investigators are searching for him.
