Hickory Police investigate shooting
On Sunday, April 6th at approximately 12:43 a.m., Hickory Police Officers responded to reports of shots being fired at 1942 Catawba Valley Boulevard SE.
Officers arrived and were informed that subjects who had been gathered in the parking area had initially been involved in a physical altercation. Officers learned shots were fired into the crowd following the altercation, however no one was injured. Officers received a description of the suspect’s vehicle and relayed the description to officers in the area. Officers located the suspect’s vehicle within minutes and identified Garon Nathaniel Killian, 20, of Lenoir, and Kylee Latod Simpson, 18, of Hickory, as suspects in this incident.
Killian and Simpson were each charged with seven counts of attempted first-degree murder, seven counts of assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill, going armed to the terror of the public, and discharging firearm in the city limits.
