New Hire for Hickory Fire Department

The following person has been hired as a firefighter with the Hickory Fire Department.

Cody Willis has been hired as a firefighter with the Hickory Fire Department.   Willis began his career as a junior firefighter with Howard’s Creek Fire Department when he was 15 ½ years old and has continued to serve with them for the past 5 years.  He is certified as a level 2 firefighter and in Hazardous Materials in both Awareness and Operations levels thorough the North Carolina Fire & Rescue Commission.  He is also certified as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) through the North Carolina Office of the Emergency Services.  Willis also hold certifications as a Technical Rescuer in the areas of Structural, Agriculture, and Vehicle.
