Learning Lab To Go Kits provide tools, technology, and hands-on activities to bring STEAM to life at home. Designed for ages 7 to 12, these kits feature curated materials aligned with educational themes such as Engineering, Game Design, and Coding. What is STEAM? STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. These concepts cultivate creativity and problem-solving through hands-on learning. The library offers many ways to explore STEAM! To see upcoming STEAM programs, check out our online events calendar.
Important Information
Kits have a 2-week checkout duration except Rock Tumbling kits which have a 4-week checkout duration. Kits are non-renewable.
An adult borrower card is required for checkout. If you do not have a card, learn how to get one here. There is a limit of one kit per card at a time.
- Adult supervision is recommended for children using the kits. Kits contain small parts and are not recommended for children under 7 years. Age recommendations are listed in each kit’s description.
- The library cardholder is responsible for the contents of the kit. Each kit contains a detailed list of all items. Any damage or loss may result in assessed fees.
- All kits must be returned to the Circulation Desk at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library. Do not drop kits in book drops.
