As heavy rain and high winds from Tropical Storm Debby are expected to impact the Hickory area today, the City of Hickory will update this page as any delays, closings, or cancellations occur due to inclement weather. 8/9/24 Update: Rotary-Geitner and Henry Fork River parks are open.

8/8/24, 12 p.m. Update: Henry Fork River Park is closed.

8/8/24, 11 a.m. Update: Rotary-Geitner Park is closed for the remainder of the day, Aug. 8, due to the rain and possibility of flooding.

PUBLIC SERVICES

The Aug. 8 planned closure of the intersection of Eighth Avenue Drive NW and Ninth Avenue NW to install new water and sewer taps for address 350 Ninth Ave NW has been rescheduled to Thursday, Aug. 15.
