Ridgeview Branch Library

Teen—April showers bring May flowers! Prepare yourself for rainy days by creating a customized umbrella following along with the library’s crafty online resource, Creativebug.   

Family— Drop in to transform cardboard and recyclable materials with your imagination to create an amazing playset. Staff will help bring your imaginations to life and provide inspiration and templates to jumpstart your creativity.  

Family— 1st Thursdays ROCK at the Ridgeview library. Youth of Ridgeview, we want to celebrate you as we learn about monthly gemstones! All are welcomed to celebrate birthdays, do crafts, make snacks, learn and have a great time!

Adult—Visit the library to take part in a multicultural book discussion that explores equality through books that tackle race, gender, and other important social issues. New members are always welcome. The book selection for this month is Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk.  

Family—Bring your family and friends to the library to hear new stories and explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) through hands-on tinkering in this storytime meant for all ages. This month we’ll celebrate a few of our magical friends including fairies, wizards, and gnomes.  

Teen & Adult —Celebrate National Craft Month by learning to sew a simple stuffed bunny from socks. This sewing project is beginner friendly. Registration is required and will open three weeks before the event. 

Family—Find your artistic spark at the library! We’ll explore, create, and get messy each month learning about a different artist, a new art technique, or style of art.
