A Story and a Song with Mountain Sam Wheelock

Mountain Sam Wheelock is the grandson of a Tennessee moonshiner whose family tree branches to the Carter Family. His one-man show “A Story and a Song” is a nontraditional look at the music of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. The stories and songs reach into the soul of a people with a surprising and truly unique perspective regarding who we are and the music we honestly create.

Wheelock is a featured performer on “Song of the Mountain, an award-winning public television series showcasing music, musicians, musical heritage, and culture of the Southern Appalachians. Wheelock has also worked with ABC Productions, TV shows like Baywatch, and movie credits such as The Addams Family and From Dusk Till Dawn. Registration is required and will open three weeks before the event.
